Who are We?

.Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is my pleasure to speak to you concerning our organization, THE AFRICAN CHILD AGAPE FOUNDATION or FONDATION AGAPE POUR L’ENFANT AFRICAIN (in French). 

ACAF/FAEA was created with a purpose of educating, supporting and comforting the Burundian child and any other African child in needy and to make our society a better place through peace educational projects, sustainable development; Human rights activities etc…

Allow me to quote the ancient sage Solomon who said, “ A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity”, Proverbs 17 v 17.

Allow me also quote the late Kofi Annan who said,“ No calling is more noble, and no responsibility is greater than that of enabling men, women and children in cities and villages around the world, to make their lives better”.

 Indeed, all those two wise men were right but it is sad to see that millions of people are living in extreme poverty due to man’s selfishness while resources are enough to feed all God’s creation. 

In ACAF, we believe that we are all brothers and sisters and can live in peace and harmony if we put aside our minor differences and prejudices. That is why our members should commit and pledge to be « Messengers of Hope and Peace».

We believe that our purpose and mandate is to build and beautify our society for the sake of this generation and generations to come , which is only possible by practicing of charity (AGAPE) and care of our fellow human beings in needy.

In ACAF, we believe also that we are imperfect and this imperfection will some times indulge people in mutual disagreement or conflict; but we should rely on non-violent methods to stop the bloodshed and other atrocities resulting from civil wars and genocide.
That is why at ACAF, we welcome with both hands the request from the General Secretary of United Nations, His Excellency Antonio Guterres pleading for cease -fire world wide. 

At ACAF, we feel connected to those Millions of people worldwide who are struggling economically and emotionally  because of civil/ethnic wars ,natural disasters such as flood ,drought which lead them to become refugees/displaced people. In ACAF, We believe that Poverty is the source of all evils and should be our major enemy to fight for not our fellow citizen!

That is why, we suggest that apart from humanitarian aids given to refugees, ACAF implore the governments which host refugees to give them chance and opportunities like other citizens so that they can contribute to the development of the society and support their families adequately especially during this time of human history threatened by many global problems including Climate Change and other pandemics.

Due to our modern technology, our society is being globalized and we need to prepare our citizens especially the youth and women for this advanced and intellectual society, which needs skilled people in terms of ability, accountability, and integrity, professional and healthy.

Due to those reasons above , a real change is needed to save our brothers and sisters in our communities regardless of their status and affiliation and to move together on the economic ladder and become self-reliant.

 Dear brothers and sisters, it is time to examine ourselves and commit to be kind, generous, compassionate , and peaceful to our fellow human beings and our Mother Earth.
Let “ Our Common Agenda 2030 , 2040 and 2060” be our road map toward the bright future for humanity and the World Peace .
I welcome every individual, organizations, companies and foundations willing to support this grass root organization physically and financially to uplift the life standard of Burundian people and  other human beings in needy especially women, children and refugees.

Let Us unite to save and to heal our Society, our continent and our world!
